HD Carolina is a website that provides high-definition videos of things to see and do in the Carolinas. We love our coastal and mountain regions, and we are proud to introduce others to the beauty of the area. Both North and South Carolina are home to many excellent colleges and universities, and they attract students from all over the world. However, we understand that some students have a hard time graduating due to financial concerns, and that’s why we are offering a $500 scholarship to a student who is attending or planning to attend college in the Carolinas.
To apply for this scholarship, you will need to write an essay explaining what makes the Carolinas so special. Choose several major points to discuss in detail, such as the beaches, the mountains, the culture, and the history of the states. Your essay should be between 750 and 1000 words in length.

Winner notified: June 15, 2019
REQUIREMENTS
To apply for this scholarship you must be:
• At least 16 years of age with a GED or a high school diploma
• Accepted by or currently attending a 2-year or 4-year college in North Carolina or South Carolina
APPLICATION PROCESS
• Write your essay and save it as a .doc file.
• Write us an email at scholarship@hdcarolina.com and tell us where you are planning to attend school and what you plan to study.
• Attach your essay document to the email. Please do not send a link to a Google Doc or Office 365 document.
• Send your email by midnight on June 1, 2019.
SELECTION PROCESS
We are looking for an essay that demonstrates a knowledge of and appreciation for the Carolinas. We will also consider the quality and originality of the writing. Please write your essay in a formal style, with no slang or profanity, and proofread carefully for spelling and grammatical errors.
NOTIFICATION PROCESS
The winner will be notified by email on June 15, 2019. If we don’t receive a response within two weeks, we will select another winner.
